Bluemont Fair - Sept 20-21, 2008

Visit the STA booth at this annual country fair at the west end of the Turnpike from 10 am to 5 pm both days. STA T-shirts and historic maps of the Snickersville Turnpike will be offered for sale.

A Turnpike Journey Through Three Wars - Sunday, October 19, 2008

Come join us on beautiful historic Snickerville Turnpike on Sunday, October 19, 2008 for this annual event! Learn more about how this historic road played a major role in three wars.
           
LOCATION:     Bluemont Community Center
                            33846 Snickersville Turnpike
                            Bluemont, Virginia 20135

TIME:                9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

Narrated historical trolley tour of the Pike -   10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
(trolley tours available on a first come, first served basis)

 Hike or bike a portion of the Turnpike
10 mile leisurely family bike ride begins at 10:00 a.m.
3 mile fun hike and children’s bike ride begins at 10:15 a.m.

Interact with re-enactors from The Civil War, The Revolutionary War and The French and Indian War

Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and soft drinks

Live Bluegrass music
